Each community website below has been created by students of different ages (currently Year 5 to Year 13) and a wide range of abilities - but all have clearly demonstrated enterprise capability as well as a whole raft of other skills they have developed. Each team of students has been involved in setting their own goals which will have been influenced by their personal interests, current skills sets, time availability and, usually, with some teacher ‘steer’. The main sites below include snapshots of sites with specific features. Select an aspect of educational interest and examine the student achievements.

Over 120 local business and organisations featured - a great start for developing a strong work experience programme. This site includes ‘Flash’ on their home page and an excellent example of page design and content
Visit Demotown (a key resource of the LocalBiz learning programme) and try a quick test. Your challenge is to search the website to find the river on which this winning holiday photo was taken, in the shortest possible time (or ask your students to do it). Please email the answer and time taken back to us for analysis purposes.
We would be especially grateful if you could help us, by adding any feedback/suggestions/thoughts about what aspects you liked (or didn’t like) about the learning programme, specifically in its aims of trying to develop both citizenship and business awareness skills. If you feel fellow teacher or even your head might be interested in the programme please give us their contact details. For more information, download our brochure, or fill in our contact form.
